krussell
Sold my V-strom to a buyer in Denver who hoped to ride it home. After watching the weather for a while he decided to ship instead. It was the first time shipping a bike for both of us. He paid $452 for Portland to Denver terminal to terminal. About 15 minutes for me to drop it off, and <10 minutes for him to pick it up. I just rode it up, the put it on a pallet, tied it down, and put a Nelson Rigg cloth cover on it. On his end they pulled the cover off, inspected for damage, and away he went. The cover was his to keep. It was painless, no issues at all. I checked rates from Tampa to Portland, it was $555. I've been tempted to ride down and visit my folks, then fly back, this makes it harder to resist. Some other places were quoting closer to $1k for the same route. Link to comment
BULLman
Glad you had a great experience. If you do Facebook, click on the link by my signature and become a fan. Why didn't you have him call me? I would be honored to help you move your bike or anything else. (BTW - I do work for FreightCenter) Link to comment
