Doug 55
Just wondering if anyone knows where to find a rain cover / weather protected mount for an Escort passport 9500ix ? It is about 1/3 again the length of a V-1 or other typical detector due (I assume) to on board GPS etc. https://www.escortradar.com/store/passport-9500ix.html TIA for any info ! PS tried it out for the first time last Sunday - first impressions excellent for detection and less false alarms than my V-1 (and it has a learning mode to log, assess and not do repeated false alarms for known locations) Link to comment

Doug 55
um,nice graphic actually a good reminder that ziploc would be better than a soakin' wet detector (I got my first V-1 so wet one time that I poured water out of it, amazingly it still worked OK) a similar option are grocery store sourced elastic banded jar covers, look something like a 1/8 scale shower cap Link to comment
Albert
OK Doug, at the risk of ruining my smart allek reputation I actually found one. I think I may order one of these too. Scroll down the page a little. http://www.legalspeeding.com/products.htm Link to comment
94aero
Legal speeding! Has kept my 8500 dry for three years! Link to comment
RedMac
Excellent!!! I've been looking for one of those for a while! Perfect for the 8500. I'm sick of pulling it off every time it starts to rain! Link to comment

I have one well over 3 years - it does get a bit wet in a total downpour, but prevents water from getting into the innards of my Passport. It is quite solid and does not seem to get eaten up by sunlight. You can see it right above the fog light, to the left of the BMW roundel. I use an older Passport, modified to feed audio into the intercom, therefore the cable exits from the left. I just cut a little notch in the lip of the case. Link to comment
