BarOne Posted April 18, 2010 Share Posted April 18, 2010 Anyone have any experience mounting a Chicane Baja Tank Bag to the base plate of the R1200RT tank bag? I want to remove the pretty worn OEM BMW tank bag from the base (which I love) and attach another bag to it. I am told the Chicane Baja Tank Bag will work. Experience anyone? Anyone? Link to comment
BobsST Posted April 19, 2010 Share Posted April 19, 2010 I have had one on my ST for four + years and have been very happy with it. I don't know if you can still get them?? I ran the front straps to some metal braces just infront of the tank. The back strap I run under the front of the seat to a cross bar on the frame. Makes for a very stable mount and I just unsnap the rear strap to get to the gas cap. Link to comment
