TopazTiger Posted July 11, 2010 Share Posted July 11, 2010 Garmin newbie here. I just bought a used BMW Navigator III. It only came with the City Navigator NT CD which I installed. For some reason, I can't get my computer to recognize my GPS even when it is on and plugged into the USB port. Do I need other drivers? I tried downloading all the free ones I could from the Garmin update site but nothing so far. Thoughts? Thanks in advance. Link to comment
Trinity Posted July 12, 2010 Share Posted July 12, 2010 I had a similar issue at one point and resolved it by downloading the drivers for the specific usb CABLE that Garmin uses... Good luck and let us know when you resolve the issue. Link to comment
rhadd1 Posted July 12, 2010 Share Posted July 12, 2010 Microsoft updates have been known to mess up the USB ports - 3x already for me. Migrating to a MacBook Pro seems to have solved that issue. Try connecting to a different PC and see if it recognizes the Nav. Link to comment
