Trav1150
Has anyone fitted an Aldi 'Go Cruise' GPS to their 1150RT? If so I would be interested to know how they did it, particularly the positioning & mounting of the bracket and the wiring connections. I would also be keen to know what they think of the Aldi GPS. Many thanks, Trav Link to comment
Haynes
Does the Go Cruise come with a mounting plate of any sort? I made my Garmin 276C mount and placed it high on the dash and would recommend this high position so you can keep your head up when glancing at the screen. Link to comment
Trav1150
The Aldi GPS unit is provided with a fixture that attaches to normal handlebars made from steel tube. As you may know, the BMW handlebars are not made of round steel tube. I am aware of the fact that the brake and clutch levers have a hole to enable additional mirrors to be attached to the bike. It is possible that a GPS mounting bracket could be adapted to fit into one of these holes. Cheers Paul (from Qld) Link to comment
Trav1150
Thanks for the great photo and suggestion of where to mount the GPS. Would you mind if I phoned you to talk about what you appear to have on your bike? I live in Brisbane. Paul Link to comment
