Deadboy
I would just use a couple of smaller compression bags.....the first time packing everything is always pretty easy, but the 10th time is a bit tedious. with the compression bags (labeled) you can avoid most of the PITA aspects of packing and unpacking by only opening up the bag you need and also isolate the dirty stuff.... Danny caddyshack Noonan
I pack similar to that sometimes when flying. I get panicked when I see the "TSA Was Here" tags. Turns out, they aren't bad packers themselves. Link to comment
upflying
I like how the shirts/pants are packed. I'll remember that trick next time. Not for the business traveler though. Link to comment

Haynes
Impressive. I wonder what the pack weights when it's packed so densely. Link to comment
tallman
Wrong type of fabics it seems. Too much cotton. Using modern fibers you can put more, in less, w/out compression. I use compression for camping, tents, bags, etc but no need for clothes. We can pack for indefinite time on the road very easily using modern clothes/shoes/etc. .02 Link to comment
markgoodrich
Just take the guy Kathy left off. Two t-shirts, spare socks and underwear, good to go, room for picking beverages up on the way to the hotel.... Link to comment
CoarsegoldKid
Problem with the wife taking up all the luggage space... Better than she taking up all the saddle space! Link to comment

Rolled clothing takes up even less space. The modern wicking fabrics rinse out in the sink with some camp soap and dry in a couple hours. No need for multiple outfits although, with the guy off the bike , I have plenty of room for shopping and the beverage run. David13
I thought Kathy had the right idea. Leave the wife at home. Or get her her own bike. Married couples with separate beds, or separate bedrooms stay married longer. My father and I have known that for a long time. He was married for 72 years. dc Link to comment
KDeline
He can take his own bike, thank you Funny, the same theory seems to have worked in my house as well. And ours as well. BTW don't you people wash clothes? I wash in the sink and hang dry, camping and hotel. Only need 1 change and that's it. Link to comment
