Ken H. Posted September 24, 2010 Share Posted September 24, 2010 It is pretty cool. But what I’m less clear about is whether or not it is actually sustaining itself in flight? It takes a tow to get off the ground, then once disconnected continues forward motion for some period of time. (In the case of the maiden flight 19.6 seconds.) Is actually it just gliding? Or does the flapping actually result in it staying airborne longer (in theory indefinitely) than if it was just a similar fixed wing glider? Link to comment
