I currently have a Garmin 2730 GPS that also receives XM radio. I currently just run earbuds in my helmet right off the GPS. I currently am looking ito a radar detector becasue my new bike is well....ummm....capable of some performance awards. I would like to keep things simple with my earbuds. I am not looking for an intercom. Does such a thing exhist, just tie in my GPS and a radar detetor so I can use earbuds?

Yes, get The Mix-It 2. Worked beautifully for adding the additional inputs I had on my old R1200ST at the time.

I had one and really liked it. I had an issue with my unit that needed a warratny exchange. The company owner sent me a replacement unit rush shipping and asked I just return the bad one when I got around to it. He stated that sometimes you just have to have faith in your customers to do the right thing. Needless to say, he gets high marks!

Great product, IMO!

Thanks Phil. Its a bit pricer than what my cheap arse wanted to pay. I did a generic search on google and the only thing I found was this:

It looks like it might serve my purpose since I only need 2 items (GPS and Radar) since the XM feeds through the GPS. Its half the price which is more attractive but still more than I want to pay (Well, I wouldnt really be happy until the pay me to take it from them...LOL). I was hoping there would be some cheap 10 dollar item form Radio Shack. I got sticker shock looking at the price of radar detectors.

Have you considered a Visual Alert instead of audio? I much prefer that to hearing false alerts go off.

A V1 in combo w/ 5 LED display mounted on BMR shelf and angled towards my eyes gets my attention!

How do you do the LED bar to the radar detector?

The V1 doesn't have an audio jack, so one of these Remote Audio Adapters is required as shown below.

Other brands such as Escort have an audio jack and are a less costly total solution.
