Kudos to Garmin

My Zumo flew out of its mount as I was accelerating this week. To my surprise, it still worked after bouncing along the pavement. Then I wrote Garmin asking if it was possible to get a replacement face plate since it was badly mangled and they told me that they'd replace the unit under warranty.

Impressive. My Nav II (a re-named Garmin 2610) got submerged overnight when my car got flooded. It eventually dried out and worked again, but the display was not quite right. I called Garmin with full disclosure, and they replaced it under warranty. I have purchased 2 other Garmin units since then, in part because of this great customer service experience.
