Friend of mine installed a set on his 12GS. And to dress it up, he velcroed a set of knee bucs on top of them. Looks kinda funny.

I have a set on my 05 RT. They look GREAT. Better than ANY of the others I've ever seen.

I had them on my 06 R1200GS before but took them off when I sold the bike.

The appear to be very substantial although I'd rather not find out

They will cause your cylinders to overheat and melt leaving you stranded.

Way too much coverage.

I was just looking at them at the MOA rally. Thought about it, but decided no since I'd just bought a new helmet.

They're for the bike, not your head.

;)

Have a great time at the MOA.

Now I know why the vendor gave me a strange look when I asked if he had a long oval.

Hey Bernie, what are "knee bucs"?

Knee bucs are the hard plastic knee sliders, motorcycle racer have stuck to there knees. He velcroed his old set to the MotoArt head protectors. I get a picture next time we ride together.
