litigator Posted August 7, 2011 Share Posted August 7, 2011 One of my Yuasa 900ma chargers is not going to green anymore. It just stays on yellow. Do they wear out? I switched bikes to be sure that it is the charger, not a bike battery. In the years that I've used these, I never had this happen before. Link to comment
outpost22 Posted August 7, 2011 Share Posted August 7, 2011 I don't have a Yuasa, but have a BMW /Deltran type maintainer. I too had just the light stay on and not do it's normal "charging". After taking it aprt, I found that one wire had come loose inside the charger. After reconnecting it, 4 years later it's still going strong. So, you might open it up and make sure all the wires are still attached. Link to comment
Alfred02 Posted August 7, 2011 Share Posted August 7, 2011 Also check it on a known good battery (measure the voltage at the battery). If the battery does not reach it's upper float voltage anymore, then the charger might never change to green. Link to comment
