Mike05
Presently, my ear plugs are connected to the GPS. Everything eventually goes thru it (Zumo 550) via Autocom Super Novi mounted in the tail of the Bike; XM Radio, V1 Radar Detector, Kenwood radio etc. The challenge is when music is playing, if the radar detector goes off in my ears the music fades out. When the detector stops beeping, the music slowly comes back. This is new; before if the radar detector went off I heard it over the music, no fading in & out. The only change has been a where-the-wire-plugs-in repair of the Valentine One. (Incidentally, I can't say enough good things about Mike Valentine & his folks; excellent service!) At the Autocom, the radar detector wire is in "Aux 1", the "everything else" wire is in "Aux 3". Any idea how to have the radar detector beep without the music fading? Link to comment
Mike05
Never mind. Found the Autocom manual; shows Aux #2 & #3 automatically reduce volume by a percentage; Aux #1 & #4 don't. seems appropriate... Link to comment
johnlt
That's right Mike. It is port specific. You have to select a port that does not have muting. Link to comment
