Tomtom Rider 2 Experience

Just want to relate my recent experience with Tomtom regarding my Rider 2 crash during a North American map update. I always liked it up to now.

 

The short story is that they will not either fix or replace the unit, even though it worked fine before the attempted update. I wish I had never tried to update!

 

The longer version is that their Mexican support team twice promised to help me saying they would get back to me within 48 hours with how to get a replacement unit. They never got back, either time. I have now written to HQ in Holland, though I don't expect much...anymore.

 

So, i am no longer a Tomtom fan. Just wanted to let others know my experience so you can avoid a problem.
