pnhmpm
I just replace a Z6 punctured by a roofing nail with a Z8. I noticed this evening after yesterdays ride that I have picked up a small screw in the new tire and it has a slow leak. The dealer would not repair the first tire and probably won't repair this one either. Should I have it repaired or should it be replaced. Link to comment
dirtrider
Evening pnhmpm It's pretty well up to you. Personally if it were my tire & the puncture wasn't in or real close to the side wall & didn't damage a cord I would repair it & ride on worry free. If you want the correct answer for your Z-8 tire try calling Metzler tec help line & ask the people that developed & tested the tire. Link to comment
oldironhead
I agree with dirtrider. Just because the dealer won't repair a tire doesn't mean the tire is not repairable. Just because the manufacturer won't recommend repairing a tire also doesn't mean the tire is not repairable. If you are hesitant to try it yourself, seek out some independent shops. I bet there are some around that can and will repair it, if it is repairable. Link to comment
BerndM
Could you possibly put a tube in it? I know some tires will allow this. Link to comment
