wbrissette
I had one of my helmet to intercom cables break on my Starcom recently. I knew I could buy a new cable from either Starcom or one of the US distributors. But I also knew that all I needed was a M mini DIN to F Mini DIN and even thought about wiring up my own. After looking around I discovered that Belkin (and a couple of others) make a PS/2 keyboard extension cable that is coiled and while an ivory color, it works great (Belkin part number: F2N035-06). The cost difference? I've found the Belkin cables for about $2.50 with free shipping, and the Starcom cables run about $19.00 plus shipping. The only downsides to the PS/2 cable is I've had to mark the position on the cable since it doesn't have the indention or label marking it and I've had to loosen the coiling a bit since it's coiled very tightly. Anyhow, just thought I would share this in case anybody needs a new cable and doesn't feel like $20 a cable is a good deal, you have some other options that work. Wayne Link to comment
