Bridgestone BT-020 replacement

I really love these tires - 120/70ZR-17 front and 160/60ZR-18 rear on my 2001 R1100RT. It seems Bridgestone has discontinued the 18" rear. Is the '-021 the replacement for this? The -023? Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks!

p.s. I'd really like to keep this narrow, just close relatives to the BT-020, not another generic "what's the best tire" thread.

Apropos what? Are you associated with that site?

It seems the BT-023 is quite a bit more expensive than the -020 was. Maybe it's just the time since I bought tires, or the price of oil or something. The last front I bought, last year, was $91. Last rear was $115. I just scanned prices for the -023 and found $112/$141. That's a 23% increase for both front and rear.

I've been running the 023's for a few months. Fabulous tire. Best all-round tire I've ever used. As claimed, handles well on lower air pressure which means more comfort with no loss of handling precision.

Just came home... 45F degrees and no loss of grip that I noticed, compared to sport tires that are just plain slippery when cold.

No idea about longevity, but seems pretty good.

I got about 12,500 miles off of the last two BT023 rears; and the current one is looking good. I got just a few thousand on the front and went back to the Z6. I usually get 19,000 on the front. FWIW.
