Givi E 55 handle won't release

The handle is supposed to pop up when the key is turned to the right. But mine doesn't. If I press the handle it opens the case.

 

But I have no way to carry it once off the bike.

 

Any suggestions?

Turn the key farther when you oPen it or unlock it. Easy

Hi Bud,

If the system is the same as my E52, there is a small peg that holds the handle down.

Turning the key fully clockwise, moves it to the right, releasing it from a slot in the handle.

If turning the key beyond the 3 o'clock position doesn't resolve it, a small screwdriver, or possibly a key,

slid under the centre of the handle to flick the pin right, after turning the key should do it.

I've tried to attach Flickr images, showing the location of the pin to move,

shown when the handle is closed, and released.
