hittman
Hi All, I am new to the board and have a question. Can a local body shop (He uses PPG paint) get the paint mixing instructions for an 04 RT Titan Grey code 846? Or due you have to buy paint from a BMW dealer? Thankyou, Jim Link to comment
Uggles
Jim, Welcome. Have a look at this thread. Also do a search on paint in this forum and see what else comes up. Cheers Link to comment

John Diakonis
At one time I had a PPG dealer formulate Opal Blue for me and I also bought some Glasurit Opal Blue to do spray outs to see if PPG was close. Well it was close but I could still tell the PPG formulation was off. When in doubt go for the Glasurit. Then you know the color AND the mettalic particles are the same size, especially if you're not painting the complete bike. When I paint BMWs I always use Glasurit and it matches perfectly and it saves me time and the aggravation of going back to PPG and tweeking it sometimes two or three times to get it right.
