TucTech
I'm new and this may be a repeat so feel free to direct me to the right thread if that turns out to be the case.... I have a friend that thought he lost his Nav IV, bought a new one, then found the old one. He has offered the new unit to me but I need to find the right cradle to fit the unit. I've searched the Internet for the BMW part and have not been able to find a used one. As an alternative can I use a Garmin unit, the Zumo 660 cradle? Link to comment
Deek
"..As an alternative can I use a Garmin unit, the Zumo 660 cradle? .." I do not own that unit, but I believe that would work. However, you might lose some functionality of the NAV IV, at least that's how it works with my Nav III GPS in a Garmin 27xx cradle. The Nav IV is probably new enough that there are not many OEM BMW mounts for it. Link to comment
Danny caddyshack Noonan
Zumo 665 cradle should work. The car cradle for the 665 works with Nav IV. The touratech locking mount, once you have a cradle, works great as well. Link to comment
TucTech
Thanks for the info. I think I'll go with the Nav IV cradle and take advantage it's its built in features All the best! Link to comment
Don_Eilenberger
You might watch on Ebay for the NAV-IV cradle.. I've seen them sell (without the GPS) at a quite reasonable price (like $50..) Link to comment
