I misplaced mine and would like another one. Does anyone here have his contact info or a diagram of the 2 into 1 printed circuit so I can make one if they're not available?

I went on the search for this last year. I was planning to make one of my own. Then I ended up finding something just as simple, for cheap

Belkin Audio Splitter/Mixer

They had them in stock at my local store. I use mine in line between my Sena headset and my earbuds when I want to include my radar detecter into the mix. Works like a charm.

This works better.

I had Gary make one for me like Larry's link to split/modulate Zumo/detector input to my Al's molded earbuds. That worked attached to an electrified Bags Connection tankbag but it looked dorky and was fiddly plus had volume pot noise to boot. So, I've been looking for a simple stereo input splitter where I can modulate output volume at each device individually. All adapters I've found online (including Keith's Belkin Rockstar) are output splitters rather than input splitters, i.e., split single signal for 2 or more sets of "ears". Yeah, I know there are better ways to monitor detector warnings but I sold my V1 last year in combo with a Parnes LED Visual Alert and recently bought a cordless Escort Solo as KISS approach (Solo isn't designed to power separate LED display without killing batteries). Unsure what Sean Daley's mixer was/is or if there is a simple device available I've not yet found? :S

One like this might work if stereo...

Here's his orginal post on another board about it:

Hi there,

I have been making small passive mixers for many of the RT riders now. Attached is a picture.

I am making 2 models of the mixer: a 2-input and a 3-input version. The 2-input version is $25, and the 3-input version is $30.

With both models, they are available in a STEREO/MONO version, or a MONO only version. The differences:

* The STEREO/MONO version has 1 stereo input, and the other inputs are mono. The output is also STEREO. This one is most suitable if you do not have an existing communications system, or if you want to mix a mono audio source with your stereo music before going to your Autocom's stereo input.

* The MONO only version has all MONO inputs and outputs. This is most suitable for mixing two mono audio sources. I personally use this version on my RT to mix the audio from my radar detector and scanner, which then runs to the Aux. port on my Autocom. This would also be suitable for mixing the audio from your radar detector and GPS for connecting to your Autocom's AUX port. And of course, the mono 3-input verison could be used for radar, scanner, and GPS!

All the mixers use standard 3.5mm audio jacks.

If you'd like to order a mixer, you can PayPal me at seandaly@earthlink.net and be sure to inlclude your shipping address. If you'd rather mail me a check, email me privately and I will send you my mailing address. Also please specify whether you want the 2-input or 3-input model and STEREO or MONO version. (i.e. "Stereo 2-input mixer" or "Mono 3-input mixer") If I do not have the version you request pre-made, I will email you to let you know it will be a few days to get it built before it ships out.

And it worked great until I misplaced it. iPod/ radar to Al's earbuds and only 2"x2" for $25,

Thanks guys for all your input on this. Another board member here made one for me last night using old photo's of Sean's on the web and this Audio Mixer or this link if the othe won't open for you, Audio Mixer

It cost him $15 and about a half hour to make it. He used a plastic AA battery case so it's half as small as the one in the write up and will fit nicely in my inside chest pocket of my jacket along with my iPod.

FYI......read the description, that Belkin thingy does both. It has the passive components built into it for being a splitter or a mixer. I have a Sena Bluetooth setup with earbuds. When I add my Escort 8500 for long trips, I use the Belkin inline between the Sena and earbuds, and plug my Escort into one of the open ports. My Sena works exactly as it should, and I hear every chirp of the radar detector in the background. It works perfect.

The only trick was that Escorts are mono out, and everything else is stereo. In order to make it work correctly, I had to make a mono to stereo cable to go between the radar detector and the Belkin. I used the free patch cable they included with the Belkin, and bought a cheap mono connector from radio shack. 15 min later everything works great. I've been using it that way for about a year now, and don't have a single issue
