UberXY
I need to do a small upgrade to the engine of my K12S that involves 17 single-use aluminum screws that need to be torqued to 27 inch-pounds. Anyone have a suggestion for a small 1/4" torque wrench that can do small values? I doubt I will ever use it ever again after this job and none of my buddies have one. Link to comment
elkroeger
Park tool Co. has one. 0 - 60 in-lbs. Looks like it's under $50. Park is the Snap-on of bicycle tools. There are several others marketed for bicycles. REI has a few (although they seem to be higher range). btw - I've had good luck selling tools on ebay after the project. Or, maybe just take it back to the store. Say it was a gift. Link to comment
UberXY
Thanks for the bicycle suggestion - I had not thought of that. I did deflect a little on Amazons EZ return policy... Link to comment
6speedTi
Toolsdelivered.com They have three listed in 1/4 inch drive. Made in the USA by CDI a subsidiary of Snap On Tools. I have two of them. They come with a calibration certificate. FREE Shipping. Price is good considering you are getting a calibrated tool. I highly recommend them. http://www.toolsdelivered.com/Micrometer-Adjustable-Wrenches_c_2934-1-1.html Link to comment
Guest Kakugo
Suggestion: get a Gedore Torcofix-K 4549. It has 1-50Nm settings (your measurements are equivalent to 3Nm so within range). It has interchangeable 1/4" and 3/8" heads and given the range you'll be able to use it for a wide range of applications (brake calipers etc). No point buying a cheap tool and no point buy a tool you'll probably use only once. Link to comment
