Givi E55 Remote problem

I've got a Givi E55 trunk with the remote unlock. Ever since I have had it, it will stop working after 2 to 3 days of use. To get it working again I can either remove it from the rack for about 1 minute or press the little red button on the inside. Is anybody else having the same problem? I have just rewired it so that the power is off of it when the bikes key is on. I'm hopping that this will solve my problem. It is under warranty for a few more months. Givi has agreed to replace it but if it is a common problem I would rather find a work around like I am trying now.
