Mounting I Phone 5 to Handlebars

What's everyone using for a weatherproof case and mounting assembly for your I Phones? I'd like to put near my GPS on the RT.

I have my Galaxy SIII in a UAG case mounted via a RAM Clutch Reservoir base and RAM x-mount. If it rains, I will either just cover the phone with a zip lock baggie or throw it in my glove box. BT works fine through the glove box.

 

I used to use THIS on another bike for my iPhone and it works fine as well, but expensive.

Ram X mount on my Ducati. If it rains, I put the phone in my pocket.

I also bought the power separately (seems included in the bundle above) which worked worked well with my old iPhone 4, but on the 5 it complains about compatibility - although it still works. I found it pulls enough current with the phone attached to stop it switching off! I ended up buying one of the power distribution boxes with a relay switch.

 

I also use it to listen to music via an Autocom bluetooth. If you do the same, you might want to check out the CarTunes app - it lets you control music with simple full screen gestures, so you don't need to look for buttons to press - I find it only works reliably with my thumb through the gloves and screen. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/cartunes-music-player/id415408192

 

I forget which mount I bought, mostly because I butchered it to fit onto the GT satnav plastic handlebar mount.

I have a RAM mount mounted one of the handle bar bolts. RAM is a great system. I wired in a USB charger spliced into the left accessory socket wire, threaded up through the steering head. Works great.
