Mr H
I purchased a 2005 1200RT with a anti-theft alarm system---I think---because a key bob came with it but I do not know how to use it---can anyone give me a clue? A couple days ago DWA appeared on the instrument cluster which I understand indicates the batteries are low in the key bob. Again my problem is how do I set the alarm on the bike. Link to comment
lkchris
Your BMW dealer can get you the user manual. Part number on mine is 01 41 7 714 377 How the system is set is programmable, so you need to know it all. Link to comment

A couple days ago DWA appeared on the instrument cluster which I understand indicates the batteries are low in the key bob. Again my problem is how do I set the alarm on the bike. The DWA indication indicates that the batteries are low in the alarm unit itself (which is located in the tail cone, remove the screw at the connector, pull the unit forward. Batteries are inside the unit.) The manual is available online at http://www.bmw-motorrad.com/com/en/index.html?content=http://www.bmw-motorrad.com/com/en/services/manuals/manuals_main.html¬rack=1 Link to comment
