droptine1968 Posted January 28, 2014 Share Posted January 28, 2014 Hey all, wanted some opinions. I've been wanting to install speakers in my 2005 R1200rt. Being that the stock speakers are way over priced, and I don't have fabrication skills to make brackets to hold speakers in the fairing, I thought about adding bullet speakers such as the ones in the link below. I noticed in a picture with the fairing removed, there is a round bar across the top. So I'm thinking with a round bracket that this type of speaker might work. I insulated the stock housing and put in good speakers 600$ for the pair, sounds better that stock but still worthless above 50 with no wind. I love my 110$ klipsch x10 earbuds. droptine1968 Posted January 28, 2014 Author Share Posted January 28, 2014 Unfortunately, at least from what I've found, you can't buy the speaker housings separate. My idea is to hang them from the bar behind the regular speaker grill, out of sight. Used sets disappear quickly. Link to comment
