U-Turn
I currently have a Givi Traffic topcase with the brake light kit option installed. I just bought a used V46 that does not have the optional stop light installed. I have read a lot about others adding led lights for improved visibility. I don't feel like buying another lighting kit when I already have the brake light wiring up to the mounting plate. Wondering if anyone knows of some DIY instructions to install led lights just in the box area and avoid having to pay big bucks for a kit? Link to comment
Twinsig
something like this? I have turn signals, tailights, brake lights & back-off modulator plus relay that makes the tailights flash w/backoff as well. Send me a pm for more info, could tell you way more over phone. Its not all that bad just time consuming details. Link to comment
Twinsig
6 conductor bulkhead connector. 3 High output led strips, turn/tail/brake 22Awg stranded from a pc cable 2 led strips in the center section, one barely visible 2 separate ckts for center sec. Tail/brake This may be one of the more complex designs, make what works for you, basic wiring materials such as the wire-loom, heat shrink, ty-wraps & sticky backs. Bought a 1 meter high output red led strip capable of cut-to-length, those were tricky with the soldering, very little contact space. I also removed the givi factory reflectors and applied aluminum duct tape to the case then installed the strips after deciding on length for all of em, used the entire 1 meter, no scrap.
