Bob_1978
Loctite, Permatex, and others sell a repair kit that supposedly fills in the ding with some kind of glue, strengthening the glass and making it invisible. Has anyone tried these products? I (finally) bought an Aeroflow guard and would like to repair the glass before I put it on. Bike is 2004 R1150RT Link to comment
greiffster
I have repaired glass car windshields with that resin stuff. It works better than you might expect with the rock type chips with small spider cracking. Not invisible, but much better and it stops the crack from propagating. Not sure it would work on a RT headlight. That's plastic, isn't it? Link to comment
Tri750
Yes, glass. The plastics came in with the 1200's generally speaking. Just use clear silicon. What you want is to keep moisture out. Since the cows have escaped the corral, close the gate. Then put your headlight guard on and "mooove" on. Link to comment
dirtrider
Evening Bob You might try stopping by your local auto glass company. They usually have good equipment to repair windshield stone chips & dings. Usually much better than you can do yourself. Even better news, a lot of insurance companies will pay all (no deductible) the repair cost as it is much cheaper than replacement. Link to comment
