DMH
Anyone with guidance on using a 'tow bar' like a Cycle-Tow where the front wheel only is off ground versus a full tow trailer ? I'm not sure if I'd like my RT's shafted rear wheel being rolled mile after mile, but I do like the 'it's not a trailer' idea...Thanks ! PS: I know I should ride the bike everywhere, damn the cager... D Link to comment
mwood7800
It works fine, I've done it with my rt and my last GSA. I hate putting the extra miles on the drive shaft cause I think it needs replaced at or around 75k on the rt. my GSA grenaded at 42k. Link to comment

elkroeger
Could you put the bike in backwards? Link to comment
Dave_zoom_zoom
This looks easy http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1020815 I don't think I would like the kind of stress that could put on the forks. (side to side) Dave Link to comment
mneblett
In college days, I towed a Honda CB360T that way with a '66 VW beetle between Illinois and Virginia a couple times. The fork "mount" was a few pieces of galvanized pipe screwed into a U-shape and fixed to the rear bumper across the gap between the bumper risers. Diagonal straps from the steering head area (can't remember whether or not to the handlebars directly) to the outer ends of the bumper handled the lateral loads well, so the forks didn't see much, if any, lateral loading/twisting.
