Waze, Landscape mode and the iPhone

If you are like me, you enjoy the bene's that Waze gives for knowing where the speed certification authorities are located and you like having the iPhone in Landscape mode to give a bit more info on the screen. Unfortunately, while riding, the vibration, leans, acceleration and deceleration cause the phone to change from portrait to landscape, upside down and all around. The phone can easily be locked in portrait mode but locking it down in landscape takes a bit of finesse.

Here are your steps:

1. Turn Assistive Touch on by going to "Settings-General-Assitive Touch". A "ghost" button will appear on the screen.

2. Lock the phone's rotation lock by swiping up from the home button and pressing the rotation symbol.

3. Start Waze, press the "ghost" button, select "Device", select "Rotate Screen", then select "rotate Left".

4. The screen is now locked in Landscape mode for your use on the bike.

Enjoy!
