Chal De Cecco
Picked up a set of Heli Bars for $129 with free shipping from Heli and did a quick install on my new RS. The bars now sit 1 1/4 " taller and 1" more rearward. The net effect is less forearm/palm pressure on the bars with a reduced reach to the bars themselves. This effective relieves rider reach up, rocks your pelvis back and straightens your back, all good for mileage days. The instructions were clear and easy to understand with great photos to guide you in the process. Fit and finish of the mounts are excellent. All torque settings are provided so there is no guess work. The only caution is not to use tie downs directly on the bars and instead secure the tie downs to the lower triple clamps when in transit. The bars are now in a fixed position close to the sister ship BMW R1200R but without the cost and hassle of changing out to the 1200r bars. No need for a professional installer unless you don't have the tools for the job. Link to comment
JWMcDonald
Helibars were the first addition to my recently acquired 2016 R1200RS. Ditto on ease of installation, as well as positive appearance. Link to comment
