macx
Was searching for paint codes for my '11 R1200RT and came across a BMW VIN Decoder. It asks for the last 7 characters of the VIN. I input that and a complete list of options, equipment, paint colors, place and date of mfg, etc, came up!! http://bimmer.work/ Any recommendations on a good place to get small aerosol cans of touch up paint? I've found TouchUpDirect for one. Good? Thanks! Edited August 28, 2016 by macx Link to comment
dirtrider
Morning Macx ColorRite usually has a good match to BMW paint, not cheap but good stuff. ColorRite--click here Link to comment
George S.
I've used ColorRite too. Good choice of different sizes so you don't have to buy more than you need. You can get your color in many different sizes, from touch up pens to 1/2 oz and 2 oz jars to aerosol cans to pints and quarts. My RT-P was a custom paint job so it's not listed in a BMW database. The paint code on the bike is "999" which I guess means "Custom Job" I used color rite's search function to input a descriptive word or two and found a very close match in a Moto Guzzi color.
