Post Response Emoji Selection

When responding to a post that doesn’t require words, Is it possible to add one more to the selection? The smile is a full on laugh where sometimes just a grin would be more appropriate. 

 

Sorry if this seems like a silly request, I’m just trying to keep my emotions in check.

Not silly, but unfortunately not possible until I can find emotions that match what is already there ... same size and style .  I'd looked in the past and was unable to find anything.

Follow-up ignoramus question about how to actually select emoji's. I click on the grey/white heart and THAT'S what shows up...when really I'm trying to access the others. Removing the reaction brings up the menu of the others...but for the briefest of seconds!

 

How (I know its easy) can I hold the menu of options open long enough to pick one?
